Self Hypnosis & Diet Techniques

Amping up your imagination allows you to see a positive future. But to use it effectively, there needs to be a path from where you are right now to what you want in the future. Imagination is visualizing in pictures. You place yourself in the picture and in the feeling of a future circumstance that you want.

Start by feeling yourself at that future point in time. Enter into those circumstances and act it out in your mind. Wander through the scene and become a part of it.

Now, enliven the scene and make it more real by imagining all 5 senses in your future circumstances. For instance, if you want to lose 50 lb. with your diet, imagine yourself at that weight and what it would be like. Give the scene color, smell and sounds. Imagine a texture, feeling everything in detail in those future circumstances.

Then come back to the present and focus your inner vision on seeing yourself progress through the steps it might take to get you from here today to over there tomorrow. Act out the steps in your mind’s eye, and see yourself moving toward your goal in progressive steps. In your mind, this can be done in a matter of moments.

You pull goals to you through focused attention, while simultaneously moving toward them with concerted action.

See the goal granted by placing yourself in the picture. See yourself acting on your goals, rather than just wishing or striving for them emotionally. See yourself acting out your vision, rather than just yearning for it. Move through the various steps that will place you as close as possible to the goal, both physically and in your feelings.

Own the feeling of being there! If you feel any ambivalence, then work to become more congruent with the goal using EFT or other hypnosis and diet techniques. Make sure your feelings and thoughts are not at odds with the goal. Radiate warmth and safety. Trust your feelings and intuition. If you project fear and uncertainty, you’ll never get there because you aren’t in alignment with the goal.

Your intuition is your subconscious showing you things in a quiet moment when your intellect is out of the way. Ask your subconscious what it knows that your intellect doesn’t. And let yourself be open to what the wisdom of your subconscious is telling you in this self-hypnosis exercise.

Hypnosis And Diet For Stress Relief

Stress is a hugely important issue if you are going to be using hypnosis and diet to lose weight. Dieting itself is one of the most stressful things you can do — physically and mentally. Stress is the leading cause of just about everything. ”Inescapable” stress is the ongoing sense that nothing can be done to relieve the amount of stress you are experiencing. This can be in the form of a troubled relationship, chronic financial problems, stress at work or chronic illness. It can even be caused by constant negative self talk or negative, pessimistic emotions. The feeling of inescapable stress creates cravings for addictive substances, such food or alcohol that will help us move the stress into the background.

For most of us, the stress isn’t going away. But if you can reduce stress where you can, and work on your responses to stressful situations, then you go a long way toward helping yourself lose weight. Diet is adding a stress to your life, which can multiply your stress level and make it harder to lose weight. Hypnosis and diet together can reduce stress overall. Listening to hypnosis and relaxation cds makes that job easy. Take time out during the day to pamper yourself, even in small ways.

Boosting Your Energy

It is possible to boost your energy, and even your metabolism, by using hypnosis. Anything that you can suggest to the subconsious mind will be accepted more readily in it’s receptive state. It’s important to keep your energy level up, not only to burn more calories, but also because most overeating occurs in the state of “tense tiredness.”

So anything you do that reduces tension and stress, and keeps your mood and energy level stable is a worthwhile investment. Mood and energy levels tend to go together. If you are in a negative mood, your energy tends to be low. When you are in a positive mood, your energy tends to be high — and everything seems a little bit easier.

5 Ways To Stop Cravings

You are in charge of your cravings! And I don’t mean that you should never have your favorite foods again, although sugar is a very addictive substance. Here are some of my favorite ways to reduce the urge for sweets:

1. Train your subconscious to help you eat “just the right amount” with the Relaxation CD. That way, you will have fewer urges to overeat. Your conscious mind doesn’t even have to be listening. Put it on at night and let your subconscious do the work! 

2. Avoid diet substitutes, such as diet soda and diet lemonade. The substances used in these drinks are toxic, and have been shown to increase your desire for sweets. They do NOT help you lose weight. 

3. Treat yourself in ways that do NOT involve sugar on a regular basis. Use the Lose Weight Without Willpower CD to reset your appetite and break the habit of reaching for sweets to treat yourself. If you train yourself to have non-food treats, then you won’t be looking for food every time you need a treat.

4. Eat enough protein, especially early in the day. Cravings will disappear, if you aren’t overdoing it at night.
