5 Steps To Self Hypnosis

Self hypnosis is simple and can be used throughout the day to enable your diet plan to work better for you. Hypnosis enables weight loss so that you don’t have to battle with your cravings and hunger, or go through the anguish of denying yourself. Hypnosis changes your mindset by continually feeding positive thoughts into your subconscious mind and reprogramming the way you feel about food. When you use hypnosis and diet together, diets that seemed impossible are now simpler and easier to follow because your relationship with food is now changed.

With hypnosis and diet, the conflict between what you want and what you actually do is now solved. It’s easier and more satisfying to make healthy choices.

The following are the benefits achieved by hypnosis and diet:

  • Reduces the urge to overeat and cravings for unhealthy foods.
  • Increases confidence and self-empowerment, increasing the feeling that you can be successful.
  • Enhances positive self-image.
  • Reduces stress levels, so you aren’t reaching for food when you aren’t hungry.
  • Increases energy and good feelings about yourself.
  • Increases motivation.

To use self hypnosis, follow these simple hypnosis and diet steps:

1. Find a comfortable position and allow yourself to relax.

2. Focus on your breathing.

3. Imagine a peaceful scene, perhaps a meadow or a beach. Allow yourself to take in this scene. Assure yourself that you are very, very safe.

4. Use a simple script or repeat positive affirmations to give yourself suggestions.

5. Count yourself back 5 . . . 4 . . . 3 . . . 2 . . . 1 Come gradually back into full awareness. Breathe deeply and notice how good you feel.

You can use self hypnosis by writing the script yourself or using recorded cds. Here’s a very relaxing hypnosis and diet CD to start with.

You should notice a difference right away. Use daily for best results.

Self Hypnosis & Diet Techniques

Amping up your imagination allows you to see a positive future. But to use it effectively, there needs to be a path from where you are right now to what you want in the future. Imagination is visualizing in pictures. You place yourself in the picture and in the feeling of a future circumstance that you want.

Start by feeling yourself at that future point in time. Enter into those circumstances and act it out in your mind. Wander through the scene and become a part of it.

Now, enliven the scene and make it more real by imagining all 5 senses in your future circumstances. For instance, if you want to lose 50 lb. with your diet, imagine yourself at that weight and what it would be like. Give the scene color, smell and sounds. Imagine a texture, feeling everything in detail in those future circumstances.

Then come back to the present and focus your inner vision on seeing yourself progress through the steps it might take to get you from here today to over there tomorrow. Act out the steps in your mind’s eye, and see yourself moving toward your goal in progressive steps. In your mind, this can be done in a matter of moments.

You pull goals to you through focused attention, while simultaneously moving toward them with concerted action.

See the goal granted by placing yourself in the picture. See yourself acting on your goals, rather than just wishing or striving for them emotionally. See yourself acting out your vision, rather than just yearning for it. Move through the various steps that will place you as close as possible to the goal, both physically and in your feelings.

Own the feeling of being there! If you feel any ambivalence, then work to become more congruent with the goal using EFT or other hypnosis and diet techniques. Make sure your feelings and thoughts are not at odds with the goal. Radiate warmth and safety. Trust your feelings and intuition. If you project fear and uncertainty, you’ll never get there because you aren’t in alignment with the goal.

Your intuition is your subconscious showing you things in a quiet moment when your intellect is out of the way. Ask your subconscious what it knows that your intellect doesn’t. And let yourself be open to what the wisdom of your subconscious is telling you in this self-hypnosis exercise.
