5 Ways To Stop Cravings
You are in charge of your cravings! And I don’t mean that you should never have your favorite foods again, although sugar is a very addictive substance. Here are some of my favorite ways to reduce the urge for sweets:
1. Train your subconscious to help you eat “just the right amount” with the Relaxation CD. That way, you will have fewer urges to overeat. Your conscious mind doesn’t even have to be listening. Put it on at night and let your subconscious do the work!
2. Avoid diet substitutes, such as diet soda and diet lemonade. The substances used in these drinks are toxic, and have been shown to increase your desire for sweets. They do NOT help you lose weight.
3. Treat yourself in ways that do NOT involve sugar on a regular basis. Use the Lose Weight Without Willpower CD to reset your appetite and break the habit of reaching for sweets to treat yourself. If you train yourself to have non-food treats, then you won’t be looking for food every time you need a treat.
4. Eat enough protein, especially early in the day. Cravings will disappear, if you aren’t overdoing it at night.
